DescriptionA VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephone or IP telephone uses voice over IP technology for placing and then transmitting phone calls over an IP network, like the Internet. An IP telephone is a type of telephone that uses an IP address to identify itself and/or connect to the internet. It is sometimes called a 'virtual pbx' (short for Private Branch eXchange) or 'iptp' (an IP-based private line). There are several advantages of yealink phone, if you are planning to make international long distance calls, especially if your local telephone company does not offer this service. A major advantage of this kind of phone is that you will be able to make calls from any location no matter how many miles separate you and the person you are calling. You do not need a landline to use an IP phone because you can make and receive calls from mobile devices, such as cell phones, PDA's and other handheld devices that are equipped with VoIP service. This means that you will not have to pay much for the calls, if any at all, and your calls can be placed anywhere within the area that you are allowed to. When you make international long distance calls using a VOIP provider, one of two things happen. One, the IP address assigned to your connection will change, so that when you connect to the internet the IP address changes. You may call someone overseas and find that your IP address has changed, forcing you to use a different VoIP service provider or choosing a different telephone number than the one you used before. The other way the change occurs is that your telephone number automatically transfers to the IP address assigned. This is the primary advantage of making calls abroad using an IP telephone: you do not have to use a new telephone number. One more reason avaya support email is superior to traditional landline phone systems is that the long distance rates are often much better. For example, it costs less to use IP voice connections in Canada and the United States than it does to use a landline. In addition, in most cases you will not even need to use a local phone number. For example, if you have a VOIP provider in Canada and wanted to call United States consumers you could simply dial the number and your voice would be delivered over the internet protocol instead of using a traditional landline. Additionally, if you use your VOIP service in the United States you will not be charged more than you would with a traditional landline connection. There are several IP telephone services available to consumers today. If you are looking for a service provider who offers IP phones and unlimited long distance plans then you should read my previous article, "Make Phone Calls overseas - An Overview of IP Phones." In this article I briefly reviewed the services of two internet protocol telephone providers. I will discuss a specific IP phone system that I use to make international calls for less than ten cents per minute! One convenient feature that many IP phones offer is the ability to make conference calls from a computer or smart phone as an IP Phone System. This feature is called VoIP-to-PC and can be extremely useful for companies who want to conduct training sessions or sales meetings via internet protocol. Another great feature of IP phones is the ability to connect to multiple computers and internet services at the same time. If you want to conduct business via internet protocol, but don't want to be limited to a particular network like a public computer network, then I recommend looking into an IP Phone system.
